It’s been a couple of weeks since our last update, but trust us—things have been blooming and bustling here at MICOPEIA BOTANICA.
Let’s start with the magic of our French Hollyhocks, which chose the most divine moment to bloom: right as the April Pink Moon graced the night sky. With four pots perched in our front windowsill, each hollyhock opened up as if responding to the full moon’s soft glow, a perfect alignment with the energy of spring, renewal, and rebirth. This gentle unfolding reminds us that when nature is nurtured, it shows up right on time.
But it's not just the plants blossoming—so is the space itself. Over the past few weeks, we’ve been steadily transforming the Tea House into a warm, welcoming sanctuary. We’ve brought in bookshelves and a growing library, tables, lamps, and even discovered a stunning antique handmade ornamental birdcage, complete with two charming artificial birds perched inside. This unique find adds another layer of story and soul to the space.
We also added a large oak table and chairs, perfect for communal gatherings, tea conversations, or quiet journaling. There’s more cozy, comfortable seating on the way, so that local community members and visitors can settle in with a warm cup of tea, maybe pull a book from our on-site library—or bring one from home—and enjoy a peaceful moment.
Now, with the addition of thoughtfully placed lamps, the shop has truly come alive with moody, comforting lighting—ideal for slow sipping tea, soft music, and the company of thriving plants. Looking forward to the Quiet After Hours during the summer, when the shop is open past sunset, and the local community is gathered together in joy, music and healing energy.
The nursery is growing beautifully. Alongside our blooming French Hollyhocks and Violet Flame plant, Chamomile is thriving, while the Mimosa trees have started to really take off. We've also begun round two of seedlings, which includes:
